About us!

Incorporated in 2005, Acadiana Youth
Hunter Education Club,  is an advanced youth hunter education program designed
to enhance classroom knowledge  and increase practical in-the-field
experience.

Acadiana Y.H.E.C. is a non-profit 501(C)3  organization  intertwined with the Louisiana Youth Hunter  Education Assc. which is a subsidiary of the  Louisiana Department Wildlife and  Fisheries Educational  Department and the NRA  Hunter Services  Department.   Under direct  supervision of volunteer Louisiana Wildlife  and   Fisheries  Instructors the  youths (10-18) develop personal ethics, self control,   safety of firearms, and  marksmanship skills.   They are educated in  survival techniques, wildlife identification, and wildlife conservation  with  the objective to provide a safer future in outdoor activities.

Acadiana YHEC is one of eight Louisiana  YHEC Teams and  Louisiana is only one of  50 states the participate in the Annual International NRA  Youth  Hunter Education Challenge. Currently our  youth members consist of  20 -boys and girls ranging from the ages of  10-18 and travel  each week  from  the cities of  Youngsville, St. Martinsville, New Iberia,  Jeanerette, Charenton, Franklin,  Centerville, and Morgan City for club  activities and events.  One super  great bunch of kids if you ask me!
